Set the budget. A quality custom home will costs between $150 and $200 per quare foot depended on the finishes and fixtures that you choose. Choose a plan. We have many stock plans available or we can recommend an architect for you to work with to design your home. Meet with several contractors. Keep in mind that not all contractors give you a "turn key price". Ask questions and ask for references. most importantly contact those references and ask about their building experience. If you have not already done so, purchase your home site. Have your contractor or architect verify that the home will fit on the property. Get your septic/well permit if necessary and have the well drilled.
Decide on fixtures and finishes.(Ex. plumbing fixtures, light fixtures, siding, appliances, cabinets, flooring, trim, colors, windows, and doors) Agree on a contract (price and terms). Draw and sign a contract. Contractor applies for permit and once approved begins excavation. In 9-12 months your are ready to move in to your beautiful new custom home!
